Same here. We are even considering air conditioning for the Paris apartment, something avoided for decades. Getting away to the seaside during July and August used to be enough, but it's now as hot there as in Paris.
We too are upgrading the air con next week. I read about air conditioning being frowned upon by Paris authorities, but I guess they’re fighting a losing battle, seeing as thousands of excess deaths are occurring yearly due to heat stress. Still to look on the bright side , our winters here are becoming so mild as to resemble an old fashioned European summer :)
How can a person be charged with arson and found not guilty? It is getting beyond scary now seeing all of these fires out of control across Europe. We have had a number of forest and mountain fires in different parts of Ireland in the last few weeks. Awful pressure on the fire services.
